Why I'm Now with Dennis Kucinich

No, silly, I disagree with Dennis Kucinich on virtually everything, including the reasoning by which we arrive at the same position: at this point, I would vote to impeach George W. Bush.

As recently as three months ago, I considered the notion preposterous, that while Bush, et al, have certainly made mistakes in the execution of the war in Iraq, what he’s done there doesn’t come close, IMHO, to impeachment-worthy. But what GWB and company have done in the past two months, brazenly disregarding the Constitution in a way that should make every American liberal proud, may not qualify as treason, but clearly qualifies as a blatant dereliction of duty.

George Will isn’t arguing for impeachment, and I don’t mean to say that I believe there’s any point in actually doing that at this point, but he makes the case that Congress has become irrelevant, and the Constitution is being trampled by the Bush Administration.

Making Congress Moot

It’s a joke what this administration is doing, and though, as I said in a previous post, I don’t relish the coming of an Obama Administration, I am counting the days until this sorry one is out of office. ‘Cause if you’re not furious, you’re not paying attention
