I read this nice article on drug addiction. Of course, it says nothing about drug addiction in the way you’d define it, but the truth is that most of us are addicts to one degree or another. The author makes a great point, one that I have found to be true. Shame of it is that I’m not living it right now…I’ll just keep ya guessing as to what I’m talking about ’til you go and read the piece.
Can I just say that I *wish* I were in charge and could break this drug addiction for my family????
This particular addiction comes in at least two other forms I can think of offhand…one of which I am currently indulging in now!
I used to surf the tube looking for something decent to watch. Now I only watch about 10 hours per week, if that. Fortunately with the invention of TiVo and DVR, I don’t have to watch commercials or even go out of my way to see something.
I don’t know what I’m going to do this baseball season though. Baseball is my heroin, so that makes TV the needle doesn’t it?
