Thaaaaaaaaat's All, Folks!

I”m done at 1991.  9 short of 2000 posts.  I’ve said all I want to, more than I need to, and I’m tired and ready to rest for awhile.  Hanging up the blog, at least for a significant season.  I’ll respond to comments, but I need to retire.  Yes, it may be a Brett Favre “retirement” in the end—I can’t promise anything one way or the other—but for now, it’s been great, and thanks.

Harvey.  Peace.  Out.

Even though I didn’t start reading until near the end, I always enjoyed reading. You’re a very good writer and even if you quit blogging, don’t quit writing. But I can’t believe that you didn’t end as another famous Harvey always used to….”good day”! 🙂

Too bad. I’ll miss your blogging. Except for your ragging on Favre. 😉
    Enjoy your rest.

It’s been fun. Though I can’t imagine an opinionated guy like yourself on occasion not having something on your mind that your just dieing to get off your chest, I do understand the need for a break. Have a good rest my friend.

I’m hoping your retirement will be Favresque.

Yeah, as much as I’ve dissed Favre, I’m not sure I want to emulate him.

I am surprised to come back to a farewell party. Have been away for a long time. Enjoyed participating on your busiest thread re The End of the Spear (signed in as Penny Long). I was very impressed with your communication with various posters. I still remember Mel and how I wished her well and find direction from God in her life.

It’s a shame you decided to stop just before the election. How we need to seize the moment and opportunity to put conservatives back in congress.

I started my blog and facebook, very amateurish, trying to bring awareness and encouragement to my young or uninterested friends to make their vote counts from a Christian viewpoint.

Now I dont know why I hardly get any comments, just as you are wondering, but I know I have visitors from the blog stats. May be your readers just read and not comment?

Young adults on fb would comment on movies, songs, restaurants, sports, but not on stuff like politics.

I was coming here to get some encouragement. I wont quit until after election though. Care to give some advice?

I’m sure your regular readers will miss you. God bless your new venture.

Man, it’s a shame you decided to hang up your hat we still need you around here.

    Preach, Tracy.

(I am compelled by the comment Nazi to make my comment longer. Hmm, it is Byron’s blog, even with him in cold storage.)

Wait, do mine eyes deceive me? Laurie has surpassed me in the comment log?

    This. Shall. Not. Stand.

  11. Laurie on May 3, 2011 at 5:28 pm

Oh yeah? We’ll see about that!

  12. Laurie on May 3, 2011 at 5:31 pm

    Hey all,

Hope things are fine with you; God’s been VERY good to me!

  13. Laurie on May 3, 2011 at 5:31 pm

Warren, After reading the news and having missed the farewell party. I am inclined to stay that my comments are not going to be that long, in so submitting to the comment Nazi but ultimately giving praise to our Lord. I see there is a friendly war amongst yourselves, one that I’m sure I would like to follow.

Shane – Friendly? War? Ah, the questions that cause men to faint with heavy reflection…

    Let me think on this…

  16. Warren Throckmorton on June 3, 2011 at 11:46 am

    Ok, I am still thinking…

  17. Warren Throckmorton on June 3, 2011 at 11:46 am
