"My Maserati Does 185…"

So sang Joe Walsh as he celebrated the fact that “life’s been good to me so far!”  Today, I saw my first Maserati (I’ve seen Lamborghinis and Ferraris, living in metro Atlanta, but not, to my remembrance, a Maserati).  Pulled up and parked right next to it at the bank.  And you know what I honestly thought?  I feel sorry for someone whose values are so royally screwed up that he’d spend that kind of money on a car in a world in which so many people are living in poverty.

By the way, if that kind of comment isn’t your cup of tea, you probably won’t like a lot of what I’ll be writing about in times to come…
