Do we need some real Heroes to set before our nation or what? I am kid's church director and pre-teen Sunday school teacher at our local church. I am also retired special-ed. Our broken families with absent fathers leave our young turning to such "pop" stars that will fail them miserably as heroes. May God help us change the world or at the very least our part of the world. I enjoyed your blog. I'm rarely a serious person....I work with children!!! Have a blessed day.

"a big to-do was made over the funeral of a pop singer."

I hadn't realised until today, when I bought a guide to next week's TV programmes and looked at the letters in it, that one channel (ITV) had cancelled its coverage of Armed Forces Day (27 June) so it could do a Michael Jackson grief-a-thon (as I call the OTT mourning of celebrities).

A strange set of priorities indeed..
