If you pass along emails that you receive from a friend, without bothering to take the time to check on the veracity of what is being said, you are guilty of bearing false witness.  Please take seriously your responsibility as a Christian to “speak the truth in love”.

    I try not to forward emails at all. I don’t mind receiving them but I try to spread the word in other ways.

      Well, I’ll forward certain things; I don’t per se have a problem with that. But when we don’t take time to verify the truth, we are spreading falsehood. And it’s sub-Christian, I’m sure you’d agree!
