Egged on by the pseudo-journalist sycophant Keith Olbermann, here’s a great example of the mindless, baseless name-calling that exemplifies the loony left these days:

Now, granting the fact that truth has never been a significant concern of the loony left (and by the way, I label the Garofalo/Olbermann/Michael Moore faction the “loony left”; I consider it to be possible to be a person of left-wing political persuasions and not fall into this category, but there is an ionosphere of liberal silliness that can only be described as “loony”), Janeane Garofalo’s words–left completely unchallenged by fawning little silly man Olbermann–are devoid of anything approaching factuality. Further, they demonstrate the utter arrogance of the elitist left; Miz Garofalo can with impunity tell us exactly what motivated the tea party participants (600K strong) to take the action they did. Further still, Janeane Garofalo represents the utterly despicable worst that America has to offer in terms of race-baiting. This was predictable, that any criticism of Comrade Obama will be taken by a certain percentage of loons as evidence of racism. We will never be past racism in this country so long as people like Janeane Garofalo are determined to find it every place she looks, and dismiss all who disagree with the president as being motivated by racist intent. This is beneath contempt, it really is.

Finally, Olbermann’s “journalism” ought not escape closer scrutiny. Dare he ask her any tough questions when she makes such outlandish statements? Of course not: any scrutiny of his fellow left-wing loons is verboten, of course. One would love to see these clownish people participate in a moderated debate with any of a number of sensible people–heck, I’d love to see Garofalo up against a patriotic American liberal like Joe Lieberman even! He and I are miles apart philosophically, but he is an honorable man who would put this rubbish in its appropriate place. But MSNBC is a haven for the MoveOn loon-types, and this video demonstrates that amply…

I do NOT like this woman – at all. I’ve heard her make so many disparaging comments of a political nature that I’ve come as close to hating her as I could possibly come without actually giving in to it, so when I saw there was a video to watch I was a little hesitant – seriously, I can’t watch a movie that has her in it because I don’t want to even look at her.

A couple of minutes into watching this, I had to laugh! She can’t be serious! And how did the host either not laugh at her or ask her how she came to such an outlandish conclusion? She had no facts to support her statements, just her own twisted perception of ideology she doesn’t agree with.

There has been such a concerted effort to avoid acknowledging the real reasons behind the Tea Parties – I was amazed at how everything she said was so completely and utterly false, and she says it with a straight face.

I don’t remember anyone ever saying you have to agree with everything a white president does or you’re a racist. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think even people who are always complaining about racism would have a hard time taking her seriously.

Thanks for the video, Byron, and I’m glad to say I’m not even angry with Janeane, she made a pitiful spectacle of herself.

Progressivism attracts hateful imbeciles, and creates hateful imbeciles.

Yeah, it’s one thing to have a different point of view, and to argue it respectfully; it’s another to mindlessly call names, and demonstrates either an incapacity for rational argument–which I doubt is true of Miss Garofalo–or an unwillingness to engage in rational discourse, which is inexcusable for any person who fancies herself a commentator on these types of events. But the more I think about it, the more I blame Olbermann. O’Reilly has idiots ranting and raving on his show, but he calls them on their mindlessness, whether they’re left-wing or right-wing idiots. Sycophant Olbermann, the pseudo-journalist, just yuks it up at this lamebrain, never once challenging her outlandishness.
