I was amused to read in the “Sunday Telegraph” today that Alaskans sometimes call Mr Palin the “First Dude.”

If her acceptance speech is any indication, Sarah Palin does not come across as the frail, fainting type. If Obambi and Joe Blowhard misunderestimate her capabilities, then they are in for a rough ride. This lady is about as fragile as a coal truck.

You’re not kidding she sounds tough – I never thought of myself as a girly-girl, but I don’t hunt, ice-fish or do any kind of sports on snow! I loved that they played the song “Barracuda” by Heart at the RNC! I almost feel sorry for Obiwannabe and Joe – almost.

I went to the L.A. County fair (in Calif.) yesterday – my husband had a McCain button on his hat and several people we encountered said they were McCain supporters as well – all were excited about Palin. At one point we saw the Democrat booth, with flyers and buttons displayed, so we went looking for the Republican booth to see if they had any McCain/Palin buttons, only to find out they had run out of buttons on the second day of the fair! The fair runs all month. Wouldn’t it be something if this blue state turned red?

    Okay, Byron.
Let’s hear you rant, as you have for a loooooong time about the Obama campaign, about Palin’s lack of experience and the fact that we know next to nothing about her.
Or is there too much Right-Wing Kool-Aid flowing on this blog?

Sarah Palin lacks a lot of experience. Sure, got no problem saying that. She does have more experience than does Barack Obama, and she’s running for VICE-president, but would it be nice if she’d been governor of Alaska for awhile longer? Sure, I’ll concede that. Do we know a whole lot about her? Be sure that the left-wing media is digging for all they’re worth, and if they haven’t found out anything by now, I’m not too worried that they’ll find out anything really damaging.

What Sarah does have is some accomplishments, something Barack Obama sorely lacks, unless you count–credit where it’s due, I guess–politically defeating the Clinton machine, something I guess we can all be grateful for. But during her time in public service, she’s taken on her own party, accomplished some needed reforms, and governed well–an almost unheard-of 80% approval rating by the folks who know her best.

    Barack Obama makes nice speeches.

Further, Sarah Palin is the only one of the four ticket candidates with ANY executive experience; surely that counts for something? And as governor, she can’t very well vote “present”… 🙂

Barack Obama remains the least-qualified, major party candidate in the last 100 years, and the furthest left ever.

    Byron…I have a question…

If you put lipstick on a community organizer, is he still an inexperienced, rabble-rousin’ leftist?
